Flexible Spending Accounts

New rules go into effect for Flexible Spending accounts (FSA) on January 1, 2011 that changes eligible Over-The-Counter (OTC) drugs and medicines. Purchases made on or before December 31, 2010 will still qualify for the FSA.

Due to Health Care Reform, effective 1/1/2011, Over-The-Counter medicines and drugs, except for insulin, will require a prescription from your physician to be reimbursed from your FSA. The prescription will need to be included with each OTC medicine or drug claim request submitted.

Detailed information regarding these changes

If you have questions about your FSA please contact Heather Taylor at extension 1011 or you may call Gentry Financial Group (903) 939-8133.
