3A state rankings for team tennis
Spring Tennis
The Lindale Tennis Regional Qualifiers competed in the Region 2 3A tournament in Allen on Wednesday and Thursday April 18-19. The first and second place players in each event advance to the state tournament to be played on April 30 and May 1 in Austin.
In boys singles, Laird Beaty won 2nd place and advanced to the state tournament. The boys doubles team of Ryan Hosid and Ryan Gambrell won 2nd place and also advanced.
The girls doubles team of Hannah Clemmons and Courtney Johnson came up a little short--finishing 4th. The other girls doubles team of Bailey Kaytar and Katie Francis won a match then lost their second. The mixed doubles team of Aaron Beggs and Lauren McClellan also won a match then lost to an eventual finalsit from Lovejoy.
It was a great effort by everyone, and we are excited to see what these boys can do at state!
The Lindale Varsity Tennis Team competed in the District 14 Tournament, and did a good job of continuing the great Lindale Tennis tradition. The Girls won the district championship and the Boys finished second.
In order to advance to regionals, a player has to finish first or second in their event. The players that qualified for regionals and will be competing Wednesday, April 18-Thursday, April 19 in Allen are:

Courtney Johnson/Hannah Clemmons - 1st place Girls Doubles
Katie Francis/Bailey Kaytar - 2nd place Girls Doubles

The Junior Varsity also competed today in their District Tournament. The Girls team finished second and the Boys team finished third. These players placed in their events:
