If you are interested in nominating a student in grades K - 6, please contact the student’s homeroom teacher to discuss whether or not he/she would be a good candidate for testing.  If you are interested in nominating a student in grades 7-12, contact the school counselor.  The Bright vs. Gifted download located in the Nomination Forms section below, contains helpful information for determining whether to nominate a student.

If you decide to nominate a student, download the Nomination Form and the Permission to Test Form from the Nomination Forms section below.  Complete the forms and return them to the student's homeroom teacher, the student's campus office, or Cookie Curry at the Lindale I.S.D. Administration Building (P.O. Box 370  Lindale, TX  75771).

The forms will be processed and parents will receive a parent survey to complete as well as a letter detailing the evaluation portion of the nomination process.  After data is gathered, the committee will meet to discuss the data and determine the best educational environment for the student based on that data.  Noticfication of the results will be mailed no later than December 20th for grades 6-12 fall testing, February 28th for kindergarten testing and by May 30th for grades 1-11 spring testing sessions.  If  you have any additional questions, you may contact the district GT coordinator, Lisa Vader, at (903) 881-4200.
