TAKS Information
TEA's regulations regarding the TAKS test have changed. In the past, 3rd grade students were required to pass the test in order to move on to the next grade. This is no longer the case. 3rd and 4th grade students will take the Math and Reading test in April. 4th grade students will take the Writing test in March. These are the only TAKS tests these students will take. The grade level placement decision will be determined by the progress on their report card.
2010-11 Testing Dates
March 1-4th Grade Writing Test (No Make Up tests are allowed for this test)
April 26-3rd and 4th Grade Math Test
April 27-3rd adn 4th Grade Reading Test
Private School or Home School Testing
Students coming from home school or a non accredited private school will need to be tested for grade level placement. If your child will need grade level placement the last testing day prior to school is August 18 @ 8am. Any enrollees after August 18 will be tested after school has begun. Students may not be placed in a class or begin school until testing has occurred.
