Changes to Residency or Contact Information

All residency and contact information changes are to be made through the office. It is extremely important to Lindale High School that we have the most current information. In the case of emergencies and educational concerns, we need to be able to immediately notify parents/guardians.  We are well aware that circumstances arise when families move, students are relocated, phone numbers change, and much more. However, we also feel that it is our obligation to ensure that the information is accurate in order to protect our students.

For any changes to be made to students' and/or parents' contact information, the legal guardian(s) must give written consent and/or be present for the requested change to take place. If there is a change in residency, we require a current proof of residency (including electric, water, or gas) with that guardian's name on the bill (or notarized documentation otherwise). If there is a change in guardianship, BOTH parties must be present.

Thank you for your help in this matter.

LHS Tutorials

Attached you will find a comprehensive list of all available staff tutorials. Students are encouraged to attend tutorials for struggling classes and are allowed to tutorials with a teacher other than their assigned one. We are here to serve you!

Family Access Program

Lindale High School strongly encourages and welcomes parental/guardian involvement. We offer participation in a program called Family Access. The requirement is that a parent/guardian have a working email address and complete the enrollment application form. These forms can be completed and submitted to the office staff at LHS. Only one application is necessary per family, and must be completed by the parent(s)/guardian(s)  the student is currently lviing with. This software program allows parents to daily track their students performance in all of his/her classes. Upcoming assignments, as well as grades on previous assignments and updated averages will be available for parents' review.

Testing for Dual Credit

If a student is planning to participate in dual credit courses, they must first ensure that all testing requirements according to LISD policy are fulfilled. Once scores have been submitted to the high school counselor, an admission application must be completed. This can be downloaded and returned to the counselor or submitted electronically.

There have not been any tuition/fee cahnges from last year, so please review the Tuition and Fee Schedule attached. You will also find information regarding an installment plan. If you have any questions, please contact TJC at 903-510-2200 or www.tjc.edu.

Testing Information: THEA and Accuplacer Testing

The THEA, Texas Higher Education Assessment, is a test that is required of Lindale High School students who wish to participate in Dual Credit courses. The purpose of this test is to assess the reading, mathematics, and writing skills that entering students should have if they are to perform effectively in undergraduate certificate or degree programs in Texas public colleges or universities. We offer the THEA test at LHS. The testing takes approximately 5 hours, as each section is timed. Students were required to: Arrive at 7:45 a.m. Testing will begin at 8 a.m on Saturday April 6, 2013. Registration must be completed in the counselor's office by March 22, 2013.

If the student is unable to attend this test date, a student will be given ONE opportunity to take an alternate test, the Accuplacer, at Tyler Junior College. These arrangements must be made by the student. The Accuplacer will serve the same purpose as the THEA test. If the student does not pass any section of the THEA, he/she will be allowed to only take the section of Accuplacer that he/she failed, but the full testing fee will still be incurred, $35.  Students are allowed ONE attempt at THEA and ONE attempt at the Accuplacer.

To be eligible to enroll in dual credit courses for the upcoming year, students are required to:

  • Bring a copy of your test results to the counselor’s office by April 26, 2013.
  • Current sophomores must pass ALL 3 Sections (Reading, Writing, and Math)
  • Current juniors are only required to pass the section required for the course of their choosing
  • Maintain a copy of test scores in a safe place for your future reference

***If a student fails to present scores to the counselor's office by the indicated deadline, he/she will be removed from all dual credit classes for the upcoming year.
