Mission Statement
The Lindale Independent School District's overall goal is to educate students to their highest level of potential in order to successfully meet the challenges of our constantly changing society. Students will be provided opportunities to acquire essential academic knowledge and skills to equip them to be productive and responsible citizens. All students will be taught the district's adopted "Traditional Moral Values and Ethics". Within a safe environment, exemplary and up-to-date curriculum will be provided to all LISD students for their highest level of academic and character development.

TEA Mandate
TEA Mandates New Fitness Assessment for All Students Enrolled in Grades 3-12 During the 80th Legislative Session, Senate Bill 530 was passed, which requires fitness assessment for all students in grades 3 to 12 starting in the 2007-2008 school year. After a thorough review and a request for offer process, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) identified FITNESSGRAM as the assessment tool to be used by all districts throughout the state. Title I Program Meeting
A meeting will be held in the board room of the LISD Administration Office on Monday, May 19th, 2008 at 3:45 P.M. to plan the following programs in the 2008-2009 school year: Title I, Part A; Title II, Part A; Title III, Part A; Title IV, Part A, and Title V, Part A. Parents and non-profit schools within the Lindale ISD attendance area are invited to attend. If you have any questions, please contact Carolyn Todd, Federal Programs Director, at 903-881-4051.
